Ito Maki Maki is run by our family here in Nara, Japan. Fiber items are handwoven in the Saori-style, celebrating freedom of creativity and faith, embracing spontaneity and playfulness, and including people of all abilities.
Our children have the superpower of Down Syndrome and assist in the making of items.
Items are made with both natural and synthetic fibers, which may be locally or internationally sourced. Both new and upcycled materials are used.
